It’s easy to fall victim to the comparison game. Your coworker gets a promotion or your friend loses 10 pounds and all you can think about is how you didn’t. The joy you may have for that person is suffocated by the jealousy and pain you may feel that it wasn’t you that achieved those things. Comparing yourself to others is not only detrimental to your self-esteem, but it can be incredibly draining and unhealthy. Instead of wondering why all of the good things happen to everyone else, instead focus on celebrating their accomplishments as something for you to aspire to. Sounds almost impossible to do, right?
